Lyon is served by two airports: an international airport Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, located 25km to east of the city and the airport of business aviation Lyon-Bron. A decision about the building of the main airport was made in 1960. In spring 1975, it was opened. This is the first important destination for foreigners when they come to the city.
